Fortnite: Battle Royale Mobile Game

Fortnite: Battle Royale is Enormous. The last time we observed anything that large in gambling was in July of 2016 together with the launching of Pokemon GO. And While that game was certainly even bigger, dragging thousands of gamers and non-gamers alike out of their houses and into the streets to capture and enslave cute little monsters before sending them to the fighting pits, Fortnite claims to become even more important to the gaming industry at large.

Fortnite' On iOS Android

After all, nobody could actually replicate what Niantic failed with Pokemon GO. Not Only is the Pokemon IP one-of-a-kind (worth greater than Star Wars in terms of overall earnings) no other firm has the geo-location information that Niantic has. The company’s partnership with Google and its own usage of user-generated information is simply so far ahead of any potential competitor, I do not think we will ever see a game quite like it.

Fortnite, on the other hand, promises a true revolution. The Fact that it’s coming to mobile devices and is not changing one iota from its console and PC models (save for input signal, obviously) speaks to the power and flexibility of the Unreal Engine. The simple fact that it’s also going to be cross-play using PC, Mac and consoles is also revolutionary. No other major game has attempted this, and if Epic can pull it off with Fortnite they’ll have hard evidence that this kind of thing can get the job done. That could change everything.

Mobile Games Could Be Over What They’re
Doubt that it’ll be–it could change the way we consider mobile games. We frequently look at cellular games as lesser inventions than their PC and console counterparts, and there’s a simple reason for that: They frequently are considerably more bare-boned, simplistic and, sadly, exploitative compared to their larger cousins.

If Fortnite can translate to mobile completely undamaged, it’s Evidence that game programmers can do much more with mobile games than they are currently shooting for. A growing number of AAA console and PC games may start releasing complete versions on iOS and Android, with adjustments made just for inputs. The difference in graphics is becoming less and less an issue, so now it’s only a matter of set up gameplay and size.
Engine capable of running the same game across multiple platforms, which is a pretty great selling point.

The other reason Fortnite on mobile is indeed important is that the Truth that Epic is publishing it as a seamless experience between mobile, consoles, PC and Mac. You can have one account and play with all your devices. And you can play platforms with different players. So you could play at the same squad with your friends or family playing on tablets and PS4 and/or Xbox One (there still will not be cross-play involving the two console giants, sadly. Nor is there any sign that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch.)

Once again, in case Epic can pull this off it’s great news for the gambling Business at large and particularly for gamers. I am not saying any sane person should play their tablet against PC players, but only the ability to do it indicates a possible sea change in gambling. Opening up all these programs to cross-play could only be great news for players. It means more visitors to play with in multiplayer matches. More populated servers translates directly into a better gambling experience (for the most part.)

It is important to note that PC players can’t just log on and queue up In a cell server. This would lead to all kinds of unfair, play. But cellular players can opt to play a PC or even PS4/Xbox One server. Cross-play will have some big hurdles (such as input imbalance) but with this sort of monitoring system we won’t have PC players trolling tablet computer and telephone players.

PUBG on mobile

Fortnite' On iOS Android

PUBG conquer Fortnite to cellular, but not in the West (yet.) Games available in China, and they are both considered very good matches, especially the one that basically mirrors the PC/console version nearly identically. This is one reason I think Fortnite, that’s a far better optimized match, can pull it off. It’s also proof that this kind of release will do well on cellular, and probably should make more AAA publishers pay closer attention.

Surely nobody in the game business has ignored the battle royale happening, and a mobile version of Fortnite is only going to create this emerging genre much more relevant.

Or at least the online parts of those games. Why not develop a full-featured Call of Duty for cellular, or even a battle royale edition of that franchise on mobile when nothing else?

I expect we will see a great deal more of this Type of thing after Fortnite’s massive Success, particularly if it’s as successful (or more so) on cellular. Epic Games has stated that this type of easy cross-play between programs Is your ‘future’ of gaming, and I am inclined to think them.
